Part 2: Market Analysis

After your audience have finished responding, you can view your results as both a summary and a spreadsheet.

Look at this example form and the resulting analysis below.

Note that this is not an example of the market survey you are to create!
This simple example is meant to guide you through the process only.

Sample Analysis

When you click to see your responses, choose the spreadsheet option, so that you can manage the data as necessary.

Once you have your responses in a spreadsheet, you will want to highlight the important data to add a chart. Note that to add labels, you may have to write them in manually, as in the example below.

Once you've selected your important data, create at least two different types of charts that help you visualize your information. In the example below, the surveyor was interested in how much each player practiced. Which chart do you think represents the data best: the Pie Chart or the Bar Graph?

Once you've created your charts, make a summary of what you've learned through your market research using a Google Document. For help on using documents and inserting images, check out the tutorials http://edu.googleapps.com/tutorials-and-tips.

Remember that your Document must contain the following elements
  1. A list of the questions used in your market research
  2. A rationale detailing what you think the questions should tell you
  3. At least two visual representations of your data
  4. A description of what that data is telling you and how you think you might modify your logo

This document will be graded on an four-point completion scale: one point for each of the required elements above
